Subject: Documentaries of Creation
Sharing stories and experiences of experimental documentary in tv and cinema - living insights into how he/she Works with characters, how he/she conducts his/her research, what camera he/she prefers, how he/she financed his/her films, the subjects he/she looks for, how he/she edits, how many hours he/she edits, how he/she chooses music and what value he/she places on film-historical value, societal relevance and communicative capacity. The students will see clips and entire films and videos.
Biography
Born in Hanover, Germany. He is a video artist and film directyor who since the end of the 70s has been residing and creating video works and films in Berlin. He is Co-founder of Confu-Baja-Video, Berlin. He has been a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz since 1998. His films and videotapes have received numerous awards, which include the German Video Art Award of ZKM Karlsruhe, the Golden Gate Award of the San Francisco Film Festival, the Marl Videop Art Award, the prize of Best European Short film, the First Prize at the One-Minute-Festival o Sao Paolo and the Golden Gate Award, San Francisco.
