A dream, a vision, which brought disintegration and chaos in its wake, as if it were the story of Babel itself. Aimlessly wandering in the endless labyrinth of corridors at the New Central Bus Station, Chief Builder creates a portrait of human experience under the contrasts of architectural vision.

NOT ENOUGH NIGHT, 2007
Dan Boord y Luis Valdovino
USA
Video, 7’44”The Longmont, Colorado gas station that Jack Kerouac wrote about in On the Road was moved twice to protect it from certain destruction. Our present day bulldozes the past to make room for quaint condominiums and homes that pretend to be part of an American yesteryear of cottages and town squares. Not Enough Night is a swan song for bygone hipsters, who longed for more “life” amid the coming storm of the post-World War II suburbs, shopping malls and the lonely existence of the solitary consumer.
Producer: Dan Boord; Luis Valdovino

IN TRANSIT, 2008
Joanne Richardson
Romania
Video, 30’00”In Transit is a travelogue of a Romanian journey across space and time, composed of subjective impressions of the present and childhood memories of the past. The video reflects on the meaning of post-communist transition, as well as on the processes through which history and memory are re-written. Following a non-linear narrative, themes recur in a spiral movement, and the ending returns to the beginning of the film, which receives a different interpretation by questioning the status of its images.
Producer: D Media
Script: Joanne Richardson
Camera operator: Joanne Richardson and others
Editing: Joanne Richardson

THE MAMMOTH AND THE BEE, 2008
Christian Bermúdez
Norway
Video, 11’30”Six kilometres from the centre of Olso lies one of Norway largest man-made structures, a residential complex offering 819 rooms. Built in the late 1960s, Tveita has become a synonym for suburbia, for brutalism architecture at its very worst, as well as an eloquent symbol of the breakdown of the social democratic values that witnessed the construction of the building.
Producer: Christian Bermúdez
Script: Christian Bermúdez
